What is System Settings?
- System Settings
- System Settings in ERPNext configure global defaults for language, timezone, date format, session expiry, password policy, and two-factor authentication.
Key System Settings
Go to Settings → System Settings. Set Country, Language, Timezone (Asia/Kolkata for India), Date Format (DD-MM-YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD), and Number Format. Configure Session Expiry (hours before auto-logout) and enable two-factor authentication for security.
Password and Security Settings
Set minimum password strength, password expiry in days, and whether login is restricted to specific IP ranges. Enable "Allow Login with Mobile No" for businesses where users prefer phone-number login. These settings apply across all users on the site.
