What is Translation?
- Translation
- ERPNext's Translation module lets you customise or add translations for any UI label, button, or message in any language, including Hindi and regional Indian languages.
Adding Translations
Go to Settings → Translation → New. Enter the source string (in English), the translated text, and the language code (hi for Hindi, mr for Marathi). Translations apply immediately in the browser when the user switches their preferred language.
Crowdsourced and Custom Translations
ERPNext maintains community translations on Frappe's Translate portal (translate.erpnext.com). You can contribute translations or download language packs. For business-specific terms (custom field labels, custom reports), add Translation records manually.
