Marking Attendance

Go to HR → Attendance → New to mark one record per employee per day. Use "Upload Attendance" to import bulk records from a biometric system CSV. The "Mark Attendance" tool lets HR mark attendance for all employees of a department in one go.

Biometric Integration

ERPNext supports automatic attendance from biometric devices via Employee Checkin records. The system determines attendance status (Present/Absent/Late) from the first check-in and last check-out timestamps. Configure grace periods and overtime rules in the Shift Settings.
