What is Salary Slip?

- A Salary Slip in ERPNext is the monthly payslip generated for each employee, showing all earnings, deductions, and net pay for the payroll period.
Generating Salary Slips
Salary Slips are auto-generated through a Payroll Entry. ERPNext applies the assigned Salary Structure, fetches attendance and leave data, calculates all components and tax deductions, and creates individual slips for each employee in the batch.
Payslip Print and Email
After submission, ERPNext can email payslips to employees automatically using a configured email template and print format. Employees can also download their payslip from the self-service portal under HR → Salary Slip.
