What is Employee?
- Employee
- An Employee master in ERPNext stores all personal, employment, payroll, and compliance information for every person on your payroll or contract.
Employee Master Setup
Go to HR → Employee → New. Enter Employee ID (auto or manual), full name, date of birth, gender, date of joining, department, designation, branch, and grade. Add personal details (PAN, Aadhaar, bank account) and employment terms for payroll processing.
Employee Self-Service
Link the Employee to an ERPNext User for self-service access. The employee portal lets staff apply for leaves, submit expense claims, view payslips, and update personal details. Managers approve requests via the ERPNext notification queue.
