- The Stock Ledger Entry (SLE) is the immutable record created by every stock movement in ERPNext, forming the audit trail for inventory transactions.
What Creates a Stock Ledger Entry
Every Stock Entry, Purchase Receipt, Delivery Note, Sales Invoice (with Update Stock), and Production Entry creates Stock Ledger Entries. Each SLE records the item, warehouse, date, quantity in/out, and the valuation rate at the time of posting.
Using the Stock Ledger Report
Navigate to Stock → Stock Ledger to view all movements for an item or warehouse over a date range. Each row links to the source voucher. This report is essential for reconciling physical counts and investigating stock discrepancies.
