What is Stock Balance?
- Stock Balance
- The Stock Balance report in ERPNext shows the current quantity and value of every item in every warehouse at a specific date.
Running Stock Balance
Go to Stock → Stock Balance. Set the "as of" date, company, and warehouse filter. The report shows opening quantity, quantity in, quantity out, and closing quantity with valuation for each item-warehouse combination.
Stock Balance for Audits
During annual audits, run Stock Balance as of 31st March to match the balance sheet figure. Reconcile against physical count sheets. The "Show Zero Balance" option reveals items fully consumed but with remaining accounting entries to investigate.
