- Quality Inspection in ERPNext enforces a QC gate before stock is accepted on purchase receipts, delivery notes, or work orders using configurable inspection criteria.
Setting Up Quality Inspections
On the Item master, enable "Inspection Required Before Purchase" or "Inspection Required Before Delivery". Create a Quality Inspection Template with parameters (dimensions, test values, pass/fail criteria). ERPNext auto-creates the QC document on the relevant transaction.
QC Workflow
The QC inspector fills in actual readings for each parameter. ERPNext compares them against the min/max range and marks the reading as Pass or Fail. The parent document (Purchase Receipt or Delivery Note) cannot be submitted if the QC result is Rejected.
