What is Print Format?

- A Print Format in ERPNext is an HTML/Jinja2 template that controls how documents (invoices, delivery notes, payslips) look when printed or emailed as PDFs.
Creating Print Formats
Go to Settings → Print Format → New. Write HTML with Jinja2 template tags ({{ doc.customer_name }}, {% for item in doc.items %}). Add CSS for layout. Multiple print formats can exist per DocType, and users select which to use when printing.
Standard Print Formats
ERPNext ships with standard print formats for all documents. Use the "Customize" button on any form to edit the default format without coding. The Print Format Builder (no-code) lets you drag and drop fields and rearrange sections visually.
