What is Webhook?
- Webhook
- ERPNext Webhooks send an HTTP POST to an external URL whenever a specified document event occurs, enabling real-time integration with third-party systems.
Creating Webhooks
Go to Settings → Webhook → New. Select the DocType and event (Submit, Update, Cancel). Enter the target URL and select which fields to include in the JSON payload. Add authentication headers if required. ERPNext delivers the webhook within seconds of the event.
Webhook Use Cases
Common uses: push Sales Invoices to a custom GST portal, sync Customers to a CRM, trigger WhatsApp messages on Delivery Note submission, or update an external warehouse management system when stock entries are posted.
