What is Stock Ageing Report in ERPNext?

Stock Ageing Report in ERPNext
Stock Ageing Report in ERPNext shows how long inventory has been sitting in warehouses, helping identify slow-moving and obsolete stock.

What is Stock Ageing?

The Stock Ageing report groups items by how long they have been held — 0–30 days, 31–60 days, 61–90 days, 90+ days — revealing carrying cost risks and dead stock.

Business Value

Identifying ageing stock allows businesses to run clearance promotions, avoid over-purchasing, and reduce inventory write-offs at year-end.

How to Access

Go to Stock → Reports → Stock Ageing. Filter by warehouse, item group, or date range. FIFO mode gives the most accurate ageing since it tracks individual lots.
