Creating a Project

Go to Project → Project → New. Enter the project name, customer, status, start/end dates, and estimated cost. Add Tasks in the task table or via the Gantt chart view. Link the project to a Cost Centre for expense tracking and create timesheets against it.

Project Costing and Billing

ERPNext accumulates all timesheets (time × billing rate), expense claims, and purchase invoices against the project. The Project Profitability report compares actual cost vs estimated cost and actual billing vs target billing in real time.
