Go-Live Preparation
The week before go-live involves: finalising opening balances, completing user training, verifying integrations, running parallel processing (one week of transactions in both old and new systems), and setting up a helpdesk channel for immediate post-go-live support.
Phased vs Big Bang Go-Live
Big Bang go-live (all modules at once) is risky but faster. Phased go-live (one module or one plant at a time) is safer and allows the team to learn before the next phase. For Indian SMEs, a phased approach starting with Accounting + Inventory is most common.
