- ERPNext integrates with India's E-Waybill system to generate, extend, and cancel e-waybills for goods movement above ₹50,000 directly from Delivery Notes or Sales Invoices.
Generating E-Waybills
With the India Compliance app, configure your EWB API credentials. When submitting a Delivery Note or Sales Invoice with goods value >₹50,000 and transport details, ERPNext calls the EWB API and receives the 12-digit Waybill Number. This is printed on the delivery document for the transporter.
E-Waybill Validity and Cancellation
E-waybills are valid for 1 day per 100 km (for non-ODC cargo). ERPNext can extend validity before expiry or cancel the waybill within 24 hours of generation if the goods movement is cancelled. All EWB actions are logged in the document's communication timeline.
