Creating a Production Plan
Go to Manufacturing → Production Plan → New. Get items from Sales Orders or Material Requests. ERPNext explodes BOMs and calculates total raw material requirements. You can then create Work Orders and Purchase/Transfer Material Requests with one click.
MRP in ERPNext
The Production Plan is ERPNext's built-in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tool. It considers existing stock, pending Purchase Orders, and in-progress Work Orders to calculate net procurement requirements, avoiding over-ordering.
